Modeled after a Sèvres seau à liqueur ancienne forme, painted front and back with a lush bouquet reserved within a gilt rocaille cartouche on the bright green ground further gilt with 'pebbles'

The Sèvres model was itself based on a Meissen form also copied at Vienna. The decoration on the present pair is typical of that produced at Sèvres in the mid 18th century.
