The breakarch case with brass fishscale sound frets and on fluted outswept feet, silvered and engraved dial with central date ring, re-signed on a recessed plaque John Lee/London and with original signature to the reverse John Donald/Glasgow, strike/silent ring in the arch, the twin wire fusee movement now with anchor escapement, strike/trip repeat on bell, back plate engraved with foliate scrolls and a plume of feathers; case possibly associated to movement and dial, late 18th century
