ATTRIBUTED TO THE PERSEPHONE PAINTER, CIRCA 450 B.C.
With a departure scene, a youth standing to the right, wearing a chlamys, a fillet in added red in his short hair, two spears leaning against his left shoulder and supported by his left hand which is wrapped in his chlamys, his gaze lowered to the phiale in his outstretched right hand, a woman to the left pouring a libation into his phiale from an oinochoe held in her right hand, the woman wearing a chiton and himation, her hair bound in a sakkos, a band of key below, pairs of stopt broken meanders alternating with dotted saltire squares above, palmettes and tendrils on the shoulders, ovolo low on the neck
