AN ATTIC POTTERY FIGURAL TREFOIL OINOCHOE
CIRCA EARLY 5TH CENTURY B.C.
In the form of a woman's head with an oval face, fleshy lips and dimpled chin, her almond-shaped eyes with modelled lids and brows outlined in black, her black hair curled back from the forehead and ridged, with a reserved band at the part, the hair rolled back along her neck and pulled into a pointed chignon at the back, wearing hoop earrings and a beaded necklace, with a high handle and trefoil mouth, some red pigment preserved along the face
