Rectangular, the cover embossed, "Labor" and "F. Vernon" and depicting two women sewing, opening to reveal a silver sewing set comprising:
a thimble;
a needlecase;
and a pair of scissors;
each piece depicting women engaged in needlecraft, the thimble and the needlecase stamped, "Vernon";
