8° (252 x 177mm). Title and text printed in blue and black. 7 wood-engraved illustrations and 2 vignettes by and after Robert Ashwin Maynard, press device [Harrop 'Devices' 9] on title. Original crushed blue morocco [designed by R.A. Maynard and/or Horace Walter Bray and] executed by George Fisher, Gregynog Press Bindery, boards with bevelled edges, gilt-ruled turn-ins, spine lettered in gilt, top edge gilt (spine very slightly darkened, very light marking on lower board). Provenance: [sale, Sotheby's London, 1-2 June 1989, lot 161].

LIMITED TO 310 COPIES, THIS NO. 9 OF 25 SPECIALLY-BOUND COPIES. In this copy -- as in all the other specially-bound copies -- the initial letter 'F' is present in quatrain XLI; it was lacking from the standard copies, but was corrected for the specially-bound copies.
