She and her husband Percy were active collectors in the early years of the 20th Century. Both gave papers on the subject and wrote for the Connoisseur. The main part of the collection was acquired by the Victoria & Albert Museum circa 1969.

George IV (George Augustus Frederick), the eldest son of the fifteen children of George III was born at St James's Palace in 1762. He served as Prince Regent from 1811 and then ascended the throne in 1820 until is death in 1830.
