MARK OF ROBERT GARRARD, LONDON, 1848
The trefoil frame on three foliate scroll feet and with three rings on baluster supports, the central partly-fluted stem with scroll and ring handle, the handle engraved twice with two crests and motto with earl's coronet above, fitted with three fluted cylindrical cut-glass jars each with star-cut base and flattened domed cover, one cover cracked, marked on base of frame

The frame - 38 oz. (1,197 gr.)
The crests are those of Byng, for John, 1st Earl of Strafford G.C.B. (1772-1860) (4)
