CIRCA 1723
Painted by J.G. Höroldt with a man smoking a pipe and a figure painting canvases before buildings, within quatrefoil panels issuing gilt scrolls enclosing Böttger-lustre sections and iron-red scrolls, the teabowl with trailing prunus to the reverse above insects and a bird, the interior painted in iron-red with flowers, gilt line rims (two chips and cracks to rim of teabowl with associated overpainting, the centre of the saucer with a restored section, areas of wear to gilding)
