Painted with vignettes of a merchant and porters loading a boat before a Palladian villa with ships in the distance and a mountainous landscape and figures in a garden before canopied boats and ships, within elongated shaped rectangular cartouches with Böttger-lustre sections enclosed in gilt scrolls issuing iron-red and lustre scrolling foliage, between flowering Oriental shrubs and scattered insects and birds, the interior with a chinoiserie scene of two figures and a stylised landscape in a similar cartouche below a border of interlocking gilt C-scrolls (areas of wear to interior panel, wear to gilding on interior rim and footrim, areas of wear to exterior lustre and gilt panels, some very minor flaking to enamels)
