A DUTCH DELFT FIGURE OF A CHINESE DANCER
CIRCA 1730-45
Turning to his left and bowing slightly, his raised left foot just visible below his long flowing yellow court robe, his right arm out-stretched, both hands covered by the long wide sleeves, his moustache and features picked out in underglaze blue, wearing a flattened black hat, his robe with red flowers and scrolling foliage, the upper part with crossed white borders with zig-zag bands of dots (slight chipping and flaking to extremities, head broken off, restuck and skilfully lacquered)
