Conceived as a pomegranate issuing from foliage, the white enamel Roman dial above a rectangular spreading plinth with fluted and acanthus-cast stepped rim and on circular feet, with two labels from 'A. Couto' one inscribed '9856', the twin-barrel movement with silk-suspended pendulum, strike on a bell via a calibrated countwheel on a backplate signed JAVELOT APARIS
