The history of Ford's TT one tonne version of the Model T is recounted in the catalogue description for 'HJ 5624'.

This is an earlier example of the model, dating from 1921, and was first registered on 10th May that year with Cornwall County Council. The truck's precise history is not known beyond this point to 1964, at which time it is recorded on an old buff log book, at the Gables Service Station, a family member recalls that it may well have been purchased from the original owner, but this has not been verified.

It is quite likely that 1964 was the last year that the truck was on the road, since it still displays a paper sticker for the London to Brighton Commercial run that year in its windscreen. It is understood to have completed the run that year, after which it is thought that it was consigned to the long term farm barn storage from where it was unearthed by Christie's earlier this year.

The chassis is fitted with a wooden pine cab, with sliding rear window and a pick-up rear body section, condition generally is very poor and in need of total restoration.
