1933 ROLLS-ROYCE 20/25HP FOUR DOOR SALOON

Black with brown leather interior
Engine: six-cylinder, overhead valve, 3,699cc; Gearbox: four-speed manual with synchromesh between third and fourth; Suspension: semi-elliptic leaf springs; Brakes: four wheel drum. Right hand drive.
GRW 61 was laid down at the Rolls-Royce works in late in 1932, a long type chassis when ready it was supplied to Hooper & Co, to be fitted with Saloon coachwork. The car was sold new to The Caterham Motor Co. completing their order by E.W. Cove Esq. It was originally registered in London on the 1st March 1933, but precisely where the car was delivered or its pre-war history is not known, but according to factory records by 1946 it was the property of A. Holden of Worsley Nr. Manchester.
More recent history of the Rolls-Royce is recorded on a duplicate green log book, which notes Michael Jessey of South Benfleet, Essex as taking ownership on 16th July 1969, it later passing to Alan Boardman of Lunts Farm, Rochford and then to the Sharpe family.
Today after more than 25 years of storage the Rolls-Royce is in very poor order generally and will require complete restoration.
A more modern V5 document is also offered with the car.
