An early 19th-Century 1½-inch miniature "World and its Inhabitants" pocket globe,
unsigned, but by MPS, Germany, with text in English, made up of twelve hand-coloured engraved gores, with ungraduated equatorial and ecliptic, the continents shaded yellow or pink with rivers and some cities shown (some abrasions) in a green paper-covered card box, the lid applied with a label THE EARTH and its Inhabitants and containing a hand-coloured engraved strip of paper showing figures of thirty-two nationalities named in English, German and French (lid missing two sides, strip detached from base)
