A pair of mid 19th-Century English 12-inch table globes,
by Malby & Co. for the Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge, the celestial dated 1850, both of usual design with brass hour dials and meridians, hand-coloured engraved gores and horizon paper, with mahogany stands, the horizon edged in red and raised on three turned legs united by cross stretchers (both severely darkened and scratched with some paper loss and a 3in. dent to the terrestrial over the cartouche and another smaller in the southern hemisphere) -- 48cm.
