Cartouche-shaped box, the cover centred by an oval frosted gold reserve applied with a rose-cut and old-cut diamond-set cypher of Emperor Francis Joseph I of Austria (1830-1916) surmounted by two rose-cut diamond borders, on a gold ground cast with scrolling foliage applied with six silver-mounted mine-cut diamonds with engraved foliage tie border, fluted sides engraved with foliage, the base engraved with flowerspray within scroll cartouche and outer scrolling foliage
