The case of typical form with engraved concave moulded top, the side with oval foliate cast panels with ribbon ties within foliate engraved panels, the solid gilt-brass rear door engraved Le Roy Horloger du Roi 7 Bd. de la Madeleine Paris, the base on paw feet, the wreathed dial with circular enamel chapter disc and gilt hands, signed Le Roy 7. Bould. de la Madeleine, Arabic chapters with flower swags, the movement with single going barrel, platform lever escapement, the backplate engraved No. 17558 L. Leroy & Cie Paris; together with the original brown leather and gilt tooled travelling case with satin and velvet lining with further maker's signature
