Persian manuscript on paper, 13ll. of fine black nasta'liq in two columns, further text written diagonally in margin, gold divisions, gold and orange margins between black rules, blue outer rule, triangular panels of gold and coloured floral sprays, headings in black-outlined thuluth on panels of similar scrolling vine or in kufic on illuminated panels, (staining, incomplete at start), with six miniatures, the text of that and the facing page in gold clouds, (worn), Timurid Persia, dated Ramadan AH 845/1441 AD, later paper-covered boards - 7½ x 4¾in. (19.3 x 12.6cm.)
