A French ebonised and ormolu-mounted striking mantel clock, late 18th/early 19th century
The moulded heart-shaped case on scroll supports with eagle-headed serpent mounts, the white enamel Arabic dial signed RAVENÉ and with blued steel hands, the eight day twin barrel movement with silk suspension, rack and snail strike on bell to the back plate -- 16¾ in. (42.5 cm.) high
