A Victorian rosewood, cut-brass inlaid and brass-mounted quarter-chiming table clock, mid 19th century
The sides with brass loop handles above fishscale sound frets, the rear door with silk-backed fretwork panel, on brass bun feet, the white painted Roman dial with blued steel moon hands, strike/silent lever above XII, the eight day twin chain fusee movement with shouldered plates, anchor escapement, with quarter chimes on eight nested bells above the plates and hour strike on bell to a back plate formerly with pendulum holdfast -- 20½ in. (52 cm.) high
