The hood with spiral-twist front columns and glazed side panels, convex throat mouldings, the trunk door with wooden frame to the lenticle glass, on shortened plinth with later skirting, the 11 in. square brass dial with cherub mask and foliate spandrels to silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with fleur-de-lys half hour markers, signed Stephen Willmot London, the matted centre with narrow subsidiary seconds ring, ringed winding holes and date aperture, later hands, the five ringed pillar movement with restored anchor escapement and outside countwheel strike on bell, with later seatboard, replacements to case -- 80 in.
