From the series Seiro Nana Komachi [Seven Komachis of the Green Houses], the courtesan Hanamurasaki of the Tamaya house, moistening the tip of her brush with her lips before writing a letter on the roll of paper in her hand, signed with the unusual signature Shomei [genuine] Utamaro hitsu, and sealed with the rare seal Honke [true line] published by Sensa, unread collector's seal, fine impression, good colours and condition, very slight soiling towards bottom margin
