Keuh Tsze Tung (J., Kikujido, "Chrysanthemum Boy"), was an exiled attendant of Emperor Muh Wang (c. 950 B.C.E.) Before exile the Emperor taught him an incantation ensuring safety and longevity. In exile he spent his time writing the incantation on the petals and leaves of chrysanthemums that grew in profusion in the valley to which he was exiled and floating them down the river to towns below.
