Edo period (19th century), the third signed Gyokuzan
The first pierce-carved with flowers in mist; the second carved with a young oxherd asleep on the back of an ox, the reverse carved with two cranes in a stream, the edges with fishermen towing their boats along a riverbank; the third pierce-carved with shaped panels of flowers among scrolling vines, stained dark brown
