With a curved panel top rail and arms carved as dolphins, with lotus and berry supports, the seat uphosltered in needlework with a wreathed letter 'A'on tapering legs

This bergere decorated Angus McBean's Empire room at 12 Devonshire Terrace, Brighton between 1948-50. The needlework seat was completed by McBean's partner David Ball.
