Happiness Is A Warm Gun was released on the A-side of the "White Album" in 1968. This acetate is inscribed with the full original title which John Lennon had borrowed from the cover of a gun magazine belonging to George Martin. He remarked in the famous Rolling Stone interview with Jann Wenner in 1970: ..I just thought it was a fantastic, insane thing to say. A warm gun means you['ve] just shot something.. In the same interview, Lennon also said of this song ...I like that, one of me best...
