A group of five black glazed tea bowls (KURORAKU CHAWAN)
19th/20th century
A cylindrical black glaze Raku ware bowl decorated in white with Mount Fuji, 11.5 cm. diam.; a low black bowl, 12 cm. diam.; a small bowl, the whole body covered with black glaze, 9 cm diam.; a larger bowl, the body complete covered with a shining black glaze, 12.5 cm. diam., 8 cm. high; and a larger bowl, 11.5 cm. diam., 8.5 cm. high, all with the character mark Raku.
