SIR GEORGE SIMPSON (?1786/7-1860)

Engraved portrait frontispiece and folding lithographic folding map by J. Netherclift and Son with Simpson's route hand-coloured in red. Diagram in the text. 24-page publisher's catalogue bound in at the end of vol. I (Occasional light inkmarking, one leaf of catalogue torn causing marginal loss.) Original cloth, boards blocked in blind with an Islamicate design, spine blocked in blind and lettered in gilt (extremities lightly rubbed and bumped, spines somewhat faded and leant). Provenance: I. Woodcut illustrations in the text. Errata leaf.
