LATE EDO PERIOD (1614-1868)
Enamelled to the exterior and cover in iron-red, green, black and gilt with a shaped panel showing a three-master beside a group of eight Dutchmen, the interior decorated with an underglaze-blue central medallion below a various trellis-diaper pattern borders, two with a double scroll to the base, three with a Chinese six character 'commendatory' mark Qi yu bao ding zhi zhen wich means Treasure as rare as jade and a precious tripod
