A MAGNIFICENT RANGE OF WINES DIRECT FROM DOMAINE DUJAC
For more than 3 decades one of the most highly respected Domaines of the Côte de Nuits, this estate is known for its perfumed, silky, elegant style. Structure and body never overpower the rich intensity of fruit. Co-founders and owners Jacques and Rosalind Seysses established this cutting-edge Domaine in the late 1960s, and have consistently held back examples of their finest wines, from great vintages. Why have they decided to release some bottles and large formats for this sale? Jacques Seysses explains: "I am not someone who enjoys a post-mortem wine. The emotion of tasting such an old wine does not appeal - what touches me is wonderful complexity on my tasting buds! I kept a lot back because I loved these wines, but we can't drink everything we kept, even if we have good friends visiting us often.
It's very important that wines be drunk at their best, by people who appreciate them. I love wine too much to let it get old, and some of these may still have 20 years to go, in a good cellar"
