COLLECTED WORKS INCLUDING GULISTAN AND BUSTAN OF SA'DI, QAJAR IRAN, COMPLETED RABI' I AH 1245/SEPTEMBER 1829 AD
Poetry, Persian and Arabic manuscript on polished paper, 206ff. with 25ll. of black nasta'liq written either in columns or in single lines, headings in red, black and gold margins, opening page with very fine illumination in gold, red and blue with polychrome floral arabesque, the margins with scrolling gold arabesque issuing coloured palmettes, subsequent headings unfinished, colophons after each section, black morocco binding with stamped gold and polychrome panels -- Folio 11¼in. x 7 1/8in. (28.5 x 18.1cm.)

Shaykh Muslih al-Din Sa'di: Gulistan, dated Rajab AH 1243/January-February 1828 AD; Shaykh Muslih al-Din Sa'di: Bustan, dated Shawwal AH 1243/April-May 1828 AD; Mulamma'at; Arabic poems; Ghazaliayat; and mudhikat(jokes). The final page gives the date of completion as Rabi' I AH 1245/September 1829 AD.
