Lot Essay
In 1818, Louis-Marie-François Rihouët established himself in Paris as a porcelain decorator, moving the firm to the rue de La Paix and adding fine glass to his inventory around 1830. The strength of the business was in beautifully painted table wares, of which the present pair of tiered cake stands is an example.
