signed on the underside of the compass box L. Grassl with latitudes for Corfu, Lyon, Bozen, Riga and Edinburgh, the chapter ring with hours III-XII, I-IX and sprung gnomon, the folding latitude arm graduated 2-88°, the octagonal horizontal plate with foliate and geometric decoration and glazed compass with silvered dial, four cardinal points and blued-iron needle, in a silk-lined and leather-covered shaped card case with brass hook and eye (hinge split) -- 6.1cm.
