unsigned, the tapering barrel on a short limb from a sleeve moved via rack and pinion on a triangular section column with an unusual square mechanical stage with chamfered edges, slide clip, swinging substage aperture plate and concave mirror, tilting via a compass joint atop a brass column and ebonised iron foot, with one eyepiece and one two-bead combining objective stamped 3.2 -- 45.3cm. (17 7/8in.) high (max); a 19th-Century lacquered-brass compound monocular microscope signed on the stage E. GUNDLACH with draw-tube focusing, the stage with micrometer adjustment, substage condensor on slider, aperture disc and plano-concave mirror, on a fixed brass column and circular base, with two eyepieces and two signed objectives, in a fitted mahogany case -- 25.1cm. (9 7/8in.) wide; and an early 20th-Century lacquered-brass and black-enamelled compound monocular microscope, probably by Zeiss, with rack and pinion and micrometer focusing, triple nosepiece and circular stage with substage condensor and diaphragm with vertical adjustment and plano-concave mirror, the curved limb tilting on a compass joint from the Y-shaped base, with a Zeiss-signed eyepiece and three objectives, one signed by Zeiss wth a brass canister -- 23.3cm.
