Of elongated octagonal section standing on a spreading base, carved in shallow relief on each side with a panel containing chrysanthemum sprays, the everted rim with pierced panels of butterflies at the four campus points alternating with chrysanthemums, the lower wing-tips of the butterflies extending to form loop handles suspending loose rings, the domed cover similarly decorated with panels of chrysanthemums below a pierced chrysanthemum finial, the stone of deep green tone with areas of darker and lighter inclusions
