Oval, the sides pierced and engraved with foliate scrolls and birds, on tapering trumpet foot and with pierced rim and swing handle, marked near foot and on handle; together with a George V silver basket, mark of H. Matthews, Birmingham, 1923, the oval section with pierced scroll motif, marked on side and handle - 9 in. (22.7 cm.) long, 10 oz. (315gr.); and another George V silver basket, mark of Mappin & Webb, London, 1925 - 9 in. (23 cm.) long, 14.5 oz. (452 gr.)
