Lot Essay

Louis Chalon was a painter, illustrator and sculptor exhibiting at the Salons from 1898-1911. He was awarded a Mention Honorable for his sculpture in 1898. Perhaps his most popular model, La Walkyrie has been reproduced in various materials and sizes.
