The flat base with a circular recess, the straight sides moulded around the mouth rim and above the base with raised bands, painted in inky cobalt blue with four figures of Liu Hai variously riding on peonies, a log or a leaf above breaking waves, each holding a coin, between a three-legged toad and a protruding rock, two seals, minor interior rim chip
