With gilt-finished cylinder movement, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, diamond-set bezel, all set within the lapis lazuli case with cast gold and pearl-set decorative mount to the bottom, the winder in the crown to the top, flanked by two cast gold lions holding the gold chains attached to the gold, lapis lazuli, pearl and diamond-set fob centred by a lion's mask, unsigned

拍品專文

It is thought that the present watch was made for King Ludwig II of Bavaria. The Bavarian blue of the lapis lazuli, the Lions of Bavaria and Royal Crown would certainly suggest that it was made for or commissioned by the Royal House.
