Accompanied by Patek Philippe Certificat d'Origine et de Garantie stamped Orlogeria Gobbi S.R.L., and Gobbi Certificato di Origine e Garanzia di Manutenzione, both dated 14 May 1951. Furthermore delivered with original Gobbi Certificato di Garanzia envelope and Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1950 and its subsquent sale on 2 March 1951.

Production of the famous Calatrava model with reference 96 was launched in 1932. In 1972 it was replaced by reference 3796.

It is very rare that watches with both the maker's as well as the retailer's original certificates are offered at auction. The exclusivity of the present watch is further enhanced by its excellent overall condition and the fact that it has never been offered in public before.
