Lot Essay

Reference 5510 is the last version of Submariners without the crown guard and the last model of an historical and experimental era during which small quantities of unusual and varying diver's watches were made. The model features characteristics similar to reference 6538, mainly the larger case (depth rating up to 660ft=200m) and the much-loved larger crown. It is assumed that less than 300 examples of this reference were ever made.
