Lot Essay

Reference 6205 is one of the rarest and most sought after Submariner models ever produced. It was only available in 1954 and 1955 and was made in very few examples only.

The model featured many new enhancements compared to its predecessor reference 6204, such as

- increased depth resistance of 100 meters
- larger crown (6 mm.) for better handling

The rarity of the present watch is further enhanced by its original condition as it is still retaining the original bezel without the minute markers and the early generation straight hands as opposed to the later "mercedes" hands. In addition its desirability is further underlined as it was made for the Royal Canadian Navy and fitted with the rare military dial.
