A MEISSEN CHINOISERIE SAUCER
CIRCA 1735-40, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK, GILDER'S 38. MARK
Painted by C.F. Herold and enriched in gilding, with an Oriental seated on a high-back chair taking tea at a circular table with a small child and a servant, on a terrace with flowering shrubs and vessels on a stand, within an iron-red double concentric circle cartouche and border of gilt interlocking scrolls, gilt line rim (very slight wear to gilding)
