Decorated at Augsburg in the workshop of Bartholomäus Seuter, each teabowl with two scenes of Orientals on terraces, one with two figures weighing merchandise by a figure reaching for a chest of drawers, on scroll supports and divided by two birds, a dragon and an insect, each in flight, below scalloped borders edged with beaded scrolls, the interiors richly gilt, the saucers richly gilt, the undersides similarly decorated with vignettes on varying supports between gilt band borders (very slight wear to scenes, areas of wear to saucer uppersides, teabowl interiors and rims, one saucer with small restored rim chip and associated crack) (4)
