CIRCA 1742, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARKS, GILDER'S 11. AND PRESSNUMMERN 24 TO TEABOWLS, SAUCERS WITH GILDER'S 20. MARKS, TWO WITH PRESSNUMMER 8
Each teabowl with two vignettes of figures in wooded landscapes with cottages and towers, one with a tent and one with figures by a rowing boat on a river, within shaped oval gilt and brown ombrierte cartouches with scrolls, shells, husks and panels of hatched ornament, the interiors with vignettes within iron-red double concentric circle cartouches below gilt borders of triangular-shaped panels of hatching and scrolls, the saucers with three harbour scenes with merchants by cargo and moored boats on quaysides with towers and fortifications, within similar cartouches and borders, the wells with deutsche Blumen, gilt line rims (minute frit to rim of one saucer, saucers with minute areas of wear) (6)
