Naturalistically modelled and coloured as a carp lying on its side, the upper part of its body with dark brown scales, its belly with pale cream and white scales, with yellow and black eyes, pink fins and a pale-pink mouth, one side of its body forming the cover (very slight wear to enamels, tail and rim with some slight restoration to chipping, cover with restored chipping to rim, one chipped again slightly, small scratch to top of head)
