The barrels only, one in gilt-brass, the remaining two in bronze, the former cast in relief with bold bands of acanthus at the muzzle and cascable, a mask-in-splendour beneath a vacant scroll on the chase, the royal arms of France (defaced) on the first reinforce, and with a pair of naturalistic dolphins; the two latter also cast in relief, one including the personal entwined dolphins and fleur-de-lys device of the Dauphin over the chase, and his coat-of-arms and crown over the first reinforce; the third decorated with two trophies-of-arms and with the arms of a member of the House of Bourbon mantled within a further martial trophy on the reinforce
