This day-bed is inspired by the Pavillon Colombe prototypes, which were all acquire by Nathan Wildenstein from circa 1900-1927. This daye bed was presumably supplied for an alcove in the hôtel de Wailly by a decorating firm such as Maison Carlhian. (see lots 44, 55, 58 and 338).
