A LOUIS XVI CREAM-PAINTED CONSOLE AND MIRROR
LATE 18TH CENTURY
The later rectangular plate within a leaf-tip and beaded surround, headed by a panel carved with scrolling acanthus, the console with rectangular variegated red marble top, above a floral paterae frieze and on turned tapering fluted legs with gadrooned collars, headed by floral paterae and terminating in leaf-wrapped toupie feet, with oval storage label printed 'Garde Meuble Eugène Gropiron', with signs of original gilding beneath, lacking top left-hand side of the cornice
The console - 29¾ in. (76 cm.) high; 20¾ in. (53 cm.) wide; 10¾ in. (27 cm.) deep;
The mirror - 70½ in. (179 cm.) high; 24¼ in. (61½ cm.) wide; 1¾ in. (4½ cm.) deep
